Current location:Sunset Grill and Tap

bachelor party
Tonight I double-fisted a glass of mead and a mug of micro-brewed rootbeer from the tap. Life is good :-)

I was just discussing this with one of my friends: where can you find mead in the U.S.? I've never seen it at a liquor store...

(Although I'm told that it's pretty easy to make...)

...And if you're in the Boston area, The Sunset Grill has a dozen different meads, most of which are amazing.

While you can get good mead commercially, it's a bit hard to find, and frequently when you do it's crap (there are several brands that try to pass off white wine sweetened with honey as mead). Really, the best solution is to find people who home brew it. The best place to find those people is in the SCA.

I've got two batches going right now. Wish me luck on how they turn out!
